Abstract
Results from continued work with our unique 1D, two-fluid coronal loop model are presented. A range of loop lengths have been tested with a range of heating profiles. Plasma flow is driven by turbulent Alfvén waves. We can produce cool, EUV and X-ray loops and can produce stable isothermal solutions. We can also simulate strong footpoint heating producing footpoint temperatures in excess of 1MK. This finding leads us to the study of EUV 'moss' and appears to be symptomatic of rapid wave energy release.
