Abstract

This collection brings together new scholarship on the people of medieval London, ranging from the elites to those on the fringes of society, native Londoners, those from elsewhere in England, and visitor and residents from across Europe. Contributions take archaeological, art-historical, historical and literary approaches and draw on recent discoveries to provide a suitable tribute to the leading historian of medieval London.
