Impact summary

IBERS were the academic partner to AMW Arboreal Ltd in a Department of Energy and Climate Change Innovation Competition. The consortium have won through all three competition phases. Legislation in Scotland prevented waste rush dominant biomass from being processed. Following talks with the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency use of rush as a none waste has been granted for the project and this has created a precedence that may be used for further legislative change.

Beneficiaries
